I’m taking on the 100 Miles Challenge for Young Epilepsy for my beautiful daughter, Lily-Rose. 💜
Lily-Rose was diagnosed with epilepsy at just 6 weeks old, after suffering a severe seizure that changed our lives forever. During the investigations that followed, an MRI and lumbar puncture also revealed a rare brain condition, bringing even more uncertainty and worry for our family.
No parent ever expects to watch their tiny baby go through something so frightening. From those first terrifying moments, we have faced appointments, tests, uncertainty and challenges that I wish no child or family had to experience.
I’m taking on these 100 miles for Lily-Rose — to show her just how strong she is, to raise awareness of epilepsy, and to help support Young Epilepsy in the incredible work they do for children and young people living with epilepsy.
Every mile I complete will be for her. Every step will be a reminder of how far she has come and how proud I am to be her Mummy!
I know 100 miles will be a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges Lily-Rose has already faced in her little life.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much to us. Your support could help make a real difference to children and families living with epilepsy.
This one is for you, Lily-Rose. 💜
100 miles. One very special little girl.
