Donations & Fundraising
Yes, we actually recommend that! Lead by example and ask your friends and family to do the same, it’s a great way of getting momentum going on your fundraising.
There is no target amount for the 100 Miles in October campaign but we’d encourage you to set a target yourself to aim towards. Any and all support you can offer goes a long way towards helping Young Epilepsy's work with children and young people with epilepsy, to ensure their voices are heard and their rights protected. Childhood epilepsy can be frightening, isolating and often a misunderstood condition.
We campaign for children’s rights. We deliver health services and research that improve diagnosis and treatments. We support children and young people throughout school, college, and university. We provide information, friendly advice, and practical help for living everyday life.
Share your fundraising page with all your friends and post about your journey daily. Pages bursting with photos, videos and training updates are always more likely to attract donations and support. You’ll also be spreading awareness about how Young Epilepsy helps children and young people with epilepsy. Please also contact events@youngepilepsy.org.uk and we’ll be happy to chat through some fundraising ideas!
You can donate the amount to your own Fundraising Page, if you have the cash.
Or you can mail your cheque made payable to Young Epilepsy to Young Epilepsy, St. Piers Lane,Lingfield, Surrey RH7 6PW.
Welcome Pack

Yes, you can. There is an edit (or manage) button on your fundraiser page where you can make your tribute and edit all information.
The website and your page will close on the 30th November 2026.
About 100 Miles in October
You will receive an activity tracker sheet in the mail. Feel free to use any fitness trackers you already have too; you can post strava updates to your fundraising page.
Yes, you can. When you do get your tracker we recommend you post pictures of it to your fundraising page as you progress through your challenge.
We ask for the challenge to be set in October, but we understand that other responsibilities can be in the way.
If you feel like you can kick it up a notch, yes you can!
We would love to see everyone complete the challenge, but we understand that circumstances can change. Please don't force yourself.
Unfortunately, with physical challenges, injuries are likely to happen. Please seek medical advice if you experience any discomfort and always follow health guidelines. You can still accept donations and fund raise through the site until the 30th November.
Not at all! It is, however a great idea to post updates on your progress to your fundraising page to let your supporters know how you're getting on with your challenge.
Feeling sore can absolutely happen when taking up a challenge like this. Please allow yourself a day or more of rest, stretch before and after your activity, and seek medical help if necessary.
That is absolutely fine. We know life can get in the way. Don’t feel discouraged. We are grateful for your support and help in building awareness
